Delete your account
You can delete your Vertex Strength Lab account, and the data attached to it, at any time. There are two ways to ask, and both end in the same place.
Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. The account and its data are removed straight away. Nothing is queued and there is nothing to confirm by email afterwards.
If you can't reach the app — no phone, locked out, already uninstalled — email support@vertexstrengthlab.com from the address on the account and ask for deletion. We action these within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore an account afterwards. It removes:
- Your profile, display name, @handle and avatar.
- Every workout you logged, and your whole training history.
- Your routines, personal records and progress charts.
- Photos and captions you posted, and the posts they belong to.
- Your comments, replies, kudos, follows and followers.
- Your gym ratings and reviews.
- Your push tokens, notification settings and block list, so the app stops being able to reach you.
The local copy on your device goes with it. If you have used VERTEX on more than one device, each one clears itself the next time it tries to sync.
What is kept
Nothing that identifies you. Two narrow exceptions, both stripped of any link back to your account:
- Reports you filed about other users. These are kept as moderation history, without your account attached. A report has to outlive the account that filed it, or deleting an account would erase the evidence behind a moderation decision made about somebody else.
- Anonymous, aggregated records that cannot be traced back to you, such as counts used to size the service.
Beyond that we keep only the minimum a law requires us to keep, for only as long as it requires it. A deletion requested by email is completed within 30 days of us receiving it; one made in the app is immediate.
