VERTEX Terms of Use & Content Policy

By creating a VERTEX account you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use VERTEX. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for consenting to the processing of your personal data without parental permission (as in some EU countries), you must meet that age. VERTEX is not directed at children under 13, and they may not create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a user below the required age, we will delete the account and its data.

Your account

You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings; deletion is permanent.

Acceptable use and content rules

VERTEX has a social feed where your name, username, and shared workouts are visible to other users. You agree not to:

• use a display name or username that is abusive, hateful, impersonates someone else, or is otherwise misleading;
• harass, threaten, or abuse other users;
• post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or spam;
• attempt to access other users' private data or disrupt the service.

Your content

You own the content you post (shared workouts, captions, photos, comments, your profile). By sharing it in the app you give us the non-exclusive right to host it and display it to the users the app's sharing rules allow (your followers; gym-leaderboard members if you opt in), which is what makes the social features work. This right ends for content you delete and when your account is deleted. You are responsible for what you post and must have the right to post it — including the consent of anyone identifiable in a photo or tagged in a workout.

Moderation

• We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content or behavior that violates the rules above leads to removal of the content and suspension or deletion of the offending account, without prior notice.
• You can report an athlete from their profile page and block any athlete (Settings shows your block list). Blocking hides your content from each other in both directions.
• We act on reports within 24 hours: reported content is reviewed and, where it violates these terms, removed — and the user who posted it ejected — within that window.

Fitness disclaimer

VERTEX is a tracking tool, not medical or coaching advice. Suggested workout plans, training tips, estimated 1RMs, and calorie estimates are general fitness information generated from what you log — they are estimates, are not tailored medical guidance, and may be wrong for your situation. Consult a qualified professional before starting a training program, especially if you have a medical condition or injury. Strength training carries inherent risk of injury; you train at your own risk.

Service

VERTEX is provided "as is", without warranty. We may modify or discontinue features. We are not liable for lost data beyond what applicable law requires — keep your own records of anything critical.
